The Ballarat Neighbourhood Character Study project has officially launched and the City of Ballarat invites Brown Hill residents to provide feedback during the first stage of consultation for the project. The study will ultimately seek to identify the preferred future character for Ballarat’s residential areas. It will play a crucial role in informing how Ballarat will continue to accommodate residential growth while conserving Ballarat's distinctive character.

The City of Ballarat are currently seeking input from the community to understand what they love about their neighbourhood as well as improvements they'd like to see. Feedback will be considered and where possible, accommodated in the Neighbourhood Character Study which will ultimately inform planning controls. Feedback can be provided by completing a survey or attending an online drop in session with the Strategic Planning team (various times available, including evenings, up until 29 September).

Feedback can be provided until 30 September 2020.

The City of Ballarat are keen to hear from all members of the community so please share this information to your network, specifically anyone you believe may be interested in being involved and providing feedback.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact Vanessa O'Shea, Strategic Planner, City of Ballarat via email.: strategicplanning@ballarat.vic.gov.au.
