The Brown Hill Community Hub is a project of the Brown Hill Progress Association supported by the City of Ballarat through the Engaging Communities Program / Brown Hill Partnership. Waterwatch in Brown Hill

Brown Hill Waterwatch August 2017

On Monday 21 August, Deirdre Murphy from Waterwatch Victoria showed a few children from Brown Hill Kindergarten some water bugs from the Yarrowee River. Thanks to Heath, Nate, Jeremiah and Chariss for taking part.

The next day, there was an article in The Courier about federal funding that has been received by Waterwatch Victoria and Federation University to develop the 'National WaterbugBlitz: citizens assessing Australian waterways' project.

Vale John "Kelly" Thurling 28.03.1930 - 18.06.2017

On 18 June, at the age of 87, Kelly passed peacefully at Nazareth House, Ballarat, surrounded by his loving family. Kelly was the loved husband of Heather for 64 years, dearly-loved father of Cheryl, Diane and Vicki, loving Pop of Angela and Matthew, Troy and Sarah, and Dale and Kasey, and special loved Poppy to Zach, Oliver, Ned and Max.
